Shenandoah Police Log 4/1/2019

SHENANDOAH – This morning, borough police released details on incidents and arrests between March 20 and March 30 in Shenandoah borough.
March 20, 2019 – Harassment
A Shenandoah man is facing a harassment charge after pushing a Frackville woman during a heated discussion.
Borough police say the incident occurred around 2:10pm outside M&T Bank at Main and Centre Streets, when Alyssa Burke, Frackville, was speaking with family member Joseph Burke, 63, of the 300 block of West Lloyd Street, Shenandoah. The discussion escalated, police said, and Joseph Burke pushed Alyssa Burke, and fled on foot. Joseph Burke was charged for harassment.
March 21, 2019 – Public Drunkenness
A South Bower Street man is facing a public drunkenness charge with Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker after he was found lying in the unit block of South Market Street.
Borough police say they found a man lying asleep in the unit block of South Market around 2:00am, and patrol officers awoke the man.
The man, identified as Onix Reyes, 23, was found “highly intoxicated and under the influence of alcohol,” police said, and a citation was filed for public drunkenness with Kilker.
March 21, 2019 – Harassment and Criminal Trespass
A woman with no fixed address is in Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of bail after a criminal trespass and harassment incident on the east end.
Police say, early in the day, officers were called to a home in the 200 block of East Lloyd Street for a trespassing incident. Brenda Bloss, 45, was at the property earlier in the day and was told to leave. Just shy of 3:00pm, she returned, knocking on the door.
When the residents answered, Bloss pushed her way into the home, police said, and refused to leave.
Bloss was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker on felony Criminal Trespass and summary Harassment, and committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $5,000 cash bail.
March 21, 2019 – Assault
A West Mount Vernon Street man is in county prison facing assault-related charges after he grabbed his mother and threatened to kill her.
Police say, around 7:00pm, police were called to a home in the 200 block of West Mount Vernon Street for a disturbance. A man, Michael Kilkenny, 42, was upset with his mother for disciplining his son, and an argument ensued. The argument escalated and Kilkenny grabbed the woman by her throat and threatened to kill her, police said.
Kilkenny faces aggravated assault, strangulation, terroristic threats and related charges, and was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker. He was committed to Schuylkill County Prison in lieu of $25,000 cash bail.
March 22, 2019 – Harassment
A borough man is facing harassment charges after pushing his girlfriend in a domestic disturbance.
Police were called to a home in the 100 block of East Centre Street for a domestic disturbance around 2:30pm.
Officers found that Mathew Mabus, 27, of East Centre Street, had been arguing with his girlfriend, grabbed and pushed her and broke her cell phone on the floor.
Mabus faces harassment charges as a result.
March 30, 2019 – Trespass, Stalking, Resisting Arrest, & Prowling
A man with no fixed address is in county prison after he showed up at his ex-girlfriend’s house uninvited and tried to force his way into the residence.
The man, Daniel Lance Lopez, 23, arrived at a home in the 100 block of North Jardin Street around 10:15pm to see his former girlfriend, uninvited. He was escorted off the property and told not to return.
Just over an hour later, Lopez returned, and began kicking and punching the door. Police took him into custody as a result, and filed charges of felony Criminal Trespass, Stalking, Resisting Arrest, Loitering, Prowling, and related summary offenses.
Lopez was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge David Rossi and committed to Schuylkill County Prison on $25,000 cash bail.
