Shenandoah Heights residents identified as Conyngham Twp. crash victims

CONYNGHAM TOWNSHIP, Columbia County – Two from Shenandoah Heights were killed in a single vehicle accident near Aristes Wednesday morning.
According to State Police at Bloomsburg, the crash occurred just after 9am along Route 42 near the Conrad Weiser State Forest district office, when John Dito, 47, was traveling northbound and lost control of his Ford pickup truck, and flipped.
Both he and passenger Kerri Ann Cooper, 47, were thrown from the vehicle and killed upon impact, and neither were wearing seatbelts.
The roadway north of Aristes was closed for about three and a half hours, reopening around 1:00pm Wednesday.
State Police are still investigating the crash.
