Shenandoah approves trick-or-treat night; trunk-or-treat at ambulance building
SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah Borough Council approved this year’s trick-or-treat night at Monday night’s council meeting.
Mayor Andrew Szczyglak said trick-or-treating will be Oct. 31 from 5pm to 7pm this year.
He also said there will be a Trunk-or-Treat at the Shenandoah Community Ambulance building at Main and Washington Streets at the same time.
“We’re encouraging Shenandoah residents to take advantage of that,” Szczyglak said. “Keep it safe, but there are going to be people who will have their lights on and kids going door to door.”
He asked the public to be cautious that night as children are out-and-about.
Council approved the closure of East Washington Street from Main to White for the trunk-or-treat event as well.
The ambulance association says any families or individuals wishing to set up a spot to give out treats are welcome, but must register to ensure space is available.
To register, email Kelly at [email protected] to secure your spot.
