Shenandoah Ambulance to move to new headquarters

SHENANDOAH – Shenandoah Ambulance is moving to a new headquarters soon.
According to Rick Examitas, President of the Shenandoah Ambulance Board of Directors, the ambulance association outgrew their existing station at 220 North White Street, and will be moving to a the former Pottsville Internists Associates building at Main and Washington Streets.
The building was acquired by the association in October, according to the Schuylkill County Parcel Locator, and will be renovated, with a 14 foot extension added to the rear to accommodate the ambulances.
The building will serve as the new headquarters for the ambulance association, with operations moving “hopefully in the next few months”, according to Examitas.
The previous headquarters on White Street, built in the late 1980s, will be used to store additional ambulances in the fleet.
In 2017, the ambulance association merged with Lost Creek Ambulance and Ringtown Ambulance, acquiring the fleets and equipment from those two associations.
