Shen. Valley super to appear on WLVT-TV panel on school funding Thursday
BETHLEHEM, Northampton County – Shenandoah Valley Superintendent Brian Waite will be part of a panel in a town hall television program regarding fair school funding Thursday on a Lehigh Valley television station.
Waite will join six other panelists, which include Lehigh Valley lawmakers, and others in the education field, both public and charter, on WLVT-TV PBS39’s Community Conversations program.
The program will air live at 7pm on PBS39, which is Channel 583 on Service Electric Cablevision in our area. If you do not have cable, you can tune in at https://lehighvalleynews.com/live.
“On the heels of a landmark appellate court ruling that declared the funding system unconstitutional, we’ll take a look at what lawmakers are doing in response,” a description of the program on PBS39’s website reads. “The program also will highlight Gov. Josh Shapiro’s current education spending proposal, and how local school leaders are pushing back for a bigger piece of the pie to accommodate what they describe as their growing needs.”
