SHENANDOAH – Members of the Shenandoah Valley Art Club took on the task of refurbishing the World War II Memorial that is located in the corridor outside the high school gymnasium.

The students also added the names of approximately 180 WWII veterans whose names were inadvertently missed when the Memorial was originally constructed in 2004.

The final phase of the project consisted of alphabetizing the names replacing the added names and installing more modern and durable frames.

The project was coordinated by SV Art teacher Jennifer Zemek.
