SHENANDOAH – Like many other organizations, the Shenandoah Valley High School Drama Club had to turn to non-traditional means to stay active, and the product of their efforts premieres this weekend.

The club is presenting a “non-traditional production” entitled “A Night of Dream Roles: A Music Video Production.” The video premieres this Friday, May 21 at 7:00pm.

Students were asked to submit an audition piece of their “dream role” in which they would like to create a video for the production. With the creative team, the students then produced a music video featuring themselves in that role.

The production features several solos, duets, and a large group number from various musical productions.

SVDC has been working on the project since January.

The production was chosen as a way to “keep all members of the club and staff safe during the pandemic.”

In addition to Friday’s viewing time, there will be additional showings at 7:00pm Saturday and 2:00pm Sunday.

The show is free, though tickets are necessary to view the video. Tickets can be obtained at www.ticketsource.us/shenandoah-valley-drama-club. When you order your ticket, you will receive the link to the production via email, though the video will not be able to be viewed prior to the first showing.

While the production is free, donations are greatly appreciated. Information on how to donate is on the drama club’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/svdramaclub
