Shen. soccer squads fall in finals

SCHUYLKILL HAVEN – Two Shenandoah Youth Soccer squads made it to the county finals at Island Park here yesterday.
The 7th and 8th grade squad, a co-ed team competing in the boys division, entered Saturday’s game in the #2 seed, facing #1 Pine Grove.

The Shenandoah Shock struck first, though Pine Grove made a comeback, taking the title 3-1.
Following that game, the 5th and 6th grade girls’ squad, entering in the same seed as the elder squad, faced #1 Tamaqua.

Once again, the Shock struck first, though Tamaqua quickly established control of the game, taking a 5-1 victory.
