Shen. firefighters handle west end call

SHENANDOAH – A stove mishap was to blame for a fire call on the west end of town Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called to the 500 block of West Coal Street around 11am for a reported house fire.
Smoke could be seen coming from the rear second floor windows as the first trucks arrived.
A plastic trash can was also seen aflame outside.
No fire was found and the home was ventilated by arriving crews from the Shenandoah Fire Department’s Phoenix and Rescue Hook and Ladder companies.
Fire officials blamed the incident on a mishap with a stove.
