Shamokin man killed in Cass Township crash

BLACK HEATH – A Shamokin man was killed in a two car crash near this Cass Township village Monday afternoon.

The crash happened around 3:10pm on Sunbury Road (Route 901) near Owl Road.

State Police at Frackville said Keith Feese, 52, of Shamokin, died at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt, troopers said.

He was driving a 2009 Ford Ranger westbound on Route 901 and crossed over the center line, striking the driver’s side utility box of a 2011 Ford F550, driven by 22-year-old Kevin Kistler, of New Ringgold.

Kistler was wearing a seatbelt, was not injured and was able to pull his vehicle onto the shoulder of the highway.

Assisting state troopers were crews from Minersville Fire, Minersville EMS, and PennDOT.
