Shamokin man injured in rural Locust Valley trash truck crash

LOCUST VALLEY – A Shamokin man was taken to a local hospital after a crash in Ryan Township Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened around 3:30pm on Brockton Mountain Drive near Back Road and State Road.
Ryan Township Fire said a garbage truck crashed in the area of the former Dunsavage Bar.
The driver, a 56-year-old Shamokin man, was taken to a Hazleton hospital by Tamaqua EMS.
State Police are investigating.
