SFD handles car fire on Gold Star

SHENANDOAH – Firefighters handled a vehicle fire just past the south side of the Gold Star Bridge Thursday afternoon.
Crews were called to the area of Gold Star Beverage around 2pm for the reported fire.
A Dodge Caliber had caught fire and pulled to the side of Route 924.
The fire was in the rear hatch and much of it was extinguished by a fire extinguisher when firefighters arrived.
No injuries were reported and Shenandoah Fire Police handled traffic at the incident.
