Sentinel wins first place Keystone Media Award for Breaking News Photo

SHENANDOAH – For the third time in a row, the Sentinel has won the first place Keystone Media Award for Breaking News Photo.
Kaylee Lindenmuth’s photo of a Ringtown Valley firefighter battling a brush fire in North Union Township took the top spot in the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association contest.
The Sentinel competes in Division IV, for multi-day publications with less than 10,000 circulation.
It is the third time in a row that the Sentinel has entered the category and taken first place.
In 2021, Lindenmuth’s photo of a Shenandoah firefighter at the scene of the United Wiping Cloth fire won and, in 2022, the Sentinel swept the category. The Sentinel did not enter the 2023 contest.
