Santa uses technology to visit IU students

MAR LIN – Santa Claus made a vicarious visit to the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit earlier this week, thanks to some modern technology.
The jolly old elf used a robot to visit students, as a precaution related to the coronavirus pandemic.
“We had a great morning! Seeing the wonder on their faces was truly magical,” Cindy Studlack, Assistive Technology Consultant, said. “The robot definitely added an extra dimension to the Santa visit. It truly took a village but we all banded together and pulled off a fantastic experience for the kids.”
Santa was assisted in the visit by Studlack and Craig Buffington, Technology Department Specialist.
