BARNESVILLE – Trash bills will be going up in Ryan Township.
Ryan Township Supervisors approved a resolution at Monday night’s meeting to increase the trash bill by $30 a year to $250 a year.
“We’re going to have to raise it a little bit,” Supervisors Vice-Chair Clyce “Champ” Holman said before the discussion.
“If we do $250, it gets us pretty close to covering [our costs,]” Supervisors Secretary Lori Feldish-Ludinsky said.
Holman and Feldish-Ludinsky voted for the increase. Chairman Dave Morgan was absent.
The trash bill was last increased in 2023 when it went from $200 to $220.
In other business, supervisors discussed and approved the sale of an old dump truck and police car. They also approved a resolution setting a retention policy for recordings of meetings. The recordings will be retained until meeting minutes are prepared and approved.
