Rush Twp. Police receive ballistic shield donations

HOMETOWN – The Rush Township Police Department today received a donation of sixteen ballistic shields, thanks to the Tamaqua American Legion.
Rush Township Police Chief Ken Zipovsky announced the donation this afternoon, noting that his department is one of “four area police departments who were recipients of valuable life-saving equipment for their agencies and the public that they serve.”
“We are thankful for the opportunity to partner with the Tamaqua American Legion to make a safer community,” Zipovsky said in a media release.
The department received sixteen Popshield ballistic shields, which were provided to officers today.
