Rotary, Oravitz host community concert downtown

SHENANDOAH – The Northern Schuylkill Rotary Club along with Oravitz Home for Funerals sponsored a summer community concert this week.
The Rotary has sponsored the event for the past ten years, hosting the Upper Schuylkill Marching Band at Veterans Memorial Park downtown, next to the American Legion post.
This year’s concert was held Thursday evening.
Brad Oravitz, Rotary District 7360 Assistant Governor, served as MC.
The band, with 29 members conducted by Kim Brown, performed a wide variety of tunes for about an hour. They included patriotic music, show tunes, polkas, and more.
