Ringtown Library outlines events for summertime
Book sale, yard sale, SummerQuest on docket
RINGTOWN – The Ringtown Library provided an outline of upcoming events at the library on Main Street this summer.
The 2021 Ringtown Community Yard Sale will be held on Saturday, July 17th, always the third Saturday in July. Registration to participate in the sale is now underway. Local residents who plan to hold a yard sale are asked to register at the Ringtown Area Library no later than July 15 to be included on the yard sale map. The $5 registration fee allows the library to promote and advertise the yard sale event throughout the region.
Free Summer Quest programs for children continue at the library through August. Children of all ages, preschool to 16 years can register and complete reading logs and activity logs at home throughout the summer for chances to win a prize. Upon registration, All children choose 3 free books to keep and enjoy this summer. Storytime for preschool children ages 3 to 6 years is currently held outdoors on the second & fourth Monday of each month; upcoming dates include July 12 & 26, August 9 & 23. Elementary students entering 2nd through 6th grade are invited to attend outdoor programming at the Ringtown Recreation Complex including Movers & Shakers program on June 30 & July 7 at 2pm and Maker Camp on Thursdays, July 22, 29, Aug. 5 at 10:30am.
The Friends of the Ringtown Library Annual Used Book Sale will be held from July 16 – 18 at the Ringtown Valley Senior Citizens Building, 104 W. Main Street, Ringtown. In preparation for this year’sevent, donations of Good Condition, gently used books and jigsaw puzzles can be dropped off at the library through July 10. The following items are NOT ACCEPTED: Magazines, Encyclopedias, Text Books,VHS & cassette tapes. Please do not donate moldy, dirty or poor condition items. Library hours areMonday 10am-7pm, Tuesday & Wednesday Noon – 7pm, Thursday 10am-5pm and Saturday 8am-1pm.
The Friends of the Ringtown Library Annual Used Book Sale will be held Friday July 16, Noon – 6pm;Saturday, July 17, 8am – 1pm; Sunday, July 18, 12pm-3pm. Customers can fill a reusable shopping tote(Bags will be provided) for $15 on Friday & Saturday OR pay by the item – $1 for all paperbacks, puzzles & DVDs, $2 for all Hardcovers & Audio Books. Sunday Only – 50% off fill-a-bag and individual items. The book sale is CASH only, no checks or credit cards accepted.
