PSP: Welfare check finds woman dead after 48 hours
SCHUYLKILL HAVEN – State troopers are investigating after a woman was found dead two days after she passed.
Schuylkill Haven Police were called to 20 Parkway in the borough around 2:30pm Monday for a reported death.
There, a 24-year-old woman was found dead after a welfare check and her home in disarray.
She was found on the stairwell, troopers said.
The Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office estimated the woman had been dead for about 48 hours.
The State Police Troop L Major Case Team out of Reading was activated and multiple interviews have been conducted and search warrants issued.
Troopers and the Schuylkill Haven Police Department are both investigating.
They did not release the victim’s name citing the investigation and they believe the incident is isolated. Troopers added there is no immediate threat to the public.
