PSP: Shenandoah woman hit utility pole, abandoned wrecked car in ditch
ZION GROVE – A Shenandoah woman was cited after State Police say she wrecked her car and left it behind halfway down an embankment Friday night.
The crash happened around 9pm Friday.
Troopers said Julie Teter, 37, of Shenandoah, was headed north on Red Ridge Road in North Union Township in a 2001 Buick LeSabre.
She told troopers that a deer ran into her lane and, when she swerved to avoid it, she left the road, hit a utility pole, and ended up in an embankment.
When first responders arrived, they found the sedan halfway down an embankment with no one around. Evidence of injury was present, troopers said.
Troopers later identified Teter as the driver and found she had left the scene.
She is facing multiple citations related to the crash and her flight.
