NORTHERN SCHUYLKILL – The following is a compilation of police incidents handled by the Pennsylvania State Police in and around the northern Schuylkill area.
Wallet dropped, swiped at Cressona Mall
A 61-year-old Schuylkill Haven woman dropped her wallet at the Cressona Mall, which was subsequently swiped, troopers said.
Troopers from the Schuylkill Haven barracks were called to the mall around 10:30am on Feb. 19 for the report.
They said a 61-year-old Haven woman, trying on clothes at a store in the mall, dropped her wallet on the floor.
The suspects in the incident swiped the wallet, concealing it on their person and failing to attempt to contact store management and return it.
Vehicle flips near Cove Village, no operator found
A 2019 Chevy pickup truck flipped in East Union Township near the Cove Village development early Sunday morning, but, when troopers arrive, no operate was found anywhere near the vehicle.
Troopers at the Frackville barracks responded around 3:00am to the area of Nuremberg Mountain Road and Cove Mountain Drive in East Union Township for the crash.
Troopers say a 2019 Chevy Silverado headed westbound crossed the double yellow line, off the roadway, and into an embankment before rolling over.
When troopers arrived, no operator was found.
Steve’s Towing, Shenandoah, removed the truck from the scene, and the driver, when found and identified, will face traffic violations.
Shenandoah pair loses passports, one loses social security card, green card
A pair from Shenandoah lost their passports and one of them lost their social security card and green card a few weeks ago.
Troopers said the pair reported the items missing from their vehicle.
Troopers added they may have been lost on a trip between the borough and Hazleton.

Ringtown man hits tree, utility pole in Phinneyville
A Ringtown man escaped injury when he crashed his car into a tree and a utility pole in the Phinneyville section of East Union Township on Feb. 20.
The crash happened around 5:00pm when the man, Duane Kline, 62, of Ringtown ran off the road and struck the two.
The impact to the utility pole caused disabling damage, and the vehicle, a 2007 Subaru Legacy, had to be towed from the scene.
Kline was uninjured in the crash.
Responding along with PSP was Shenandoah Ambulance and Sheppton-Oneida Fire.
Three arrested for drug possession, one for DUI in Shamokin
Three people from the Shamokin area are facing charges after a traffic stop at the Turkey Hill on West Lincoln in the city.
The incident happened around 2:00am on Jan. 27, when troopers from the Stonington barracks stopped a 1998 Nissan Maxima.
The driver, Weselley Markwith, 36, of Shamokin was arrested for DUI and drug possession charges while his passengers, Johnathan Grove, 32, of Coal Township, and Akeem Gregory, 30, of Shamokin both face drug possession charges.
