PSP: Man sprayed fire extinguisher, swiped neck mannequin adorned with gold necklaces, fled Laurel Mall
HAZLE TOWNSHIP, Luzerne County – State Police at Hazleton are seeking a man they say swiped a neck mannequin with a large amount of gold necklaces Tuesday at the Laurel Mall.
Troopers said they were called to the D’Jesus Jewelry Store at the mall just before 4pm for a report of shots fired.
No shots were fired, and no weapon was brandished, troopers said, but a man entered the store and sprayed a fire extinguisher into the air.
The man, described as 5’9″-6′ tall wearing black pants, gray jacket, red gloves, and a black balaclava-style face mask, then smashed a glass display case with the extinguisher and took off with a neck mannequin adorned with a large amount of gold necklaces.
The man then fled through TJ Maxx.
