PSP: Man brandishes firearm, robs Hometown store, flees

HOMETOWN – State troopers are seeking a man they say robbed a store in the HT Commons near Hometown Monday evening.
The incident happened at Sam’s Place in the HT Commons — the Walmart plaza — just before 9pm.
State Police at Frackville say a white man entered the store, approached the clerk, brandished a firearm, and demanded money from the cash register.
He then took off with the cash.
He was wearing a “distinctive red and blue flannel jacket,” grey sweatpants, and black sneakers.
He also had black gloves on and a hood pulled up to cover his face.
Anyone with information is asked to call the State Police at Frackville at 570-874-5300. Information leading to an arrest is eligible for a cash reward, troopers said.
