PSP: Centre County man arrested locally with pound of meth, handgun, three pounds of meth back home

FRACKVILLE – A Centre County man was arrested Tuesday in our area with a pound of meth, and had another three pounds back home, State Police said Thursday.

Caelan Benjamin Conrad Houk, 24, of State College, is in Schuylkill County Prison on felony drug charges.

State Police at Frackville said the arrest came following a joint investigation between the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force, State Police at Reading, and State Police at Hollidaysburg.

Tuesday, troopers executed a search warrant on a 2009 Ford Fusion driven by Houk in the Frackville area just off Interstate 81.

In the car, they found a pound of suspected methamphetamine with a street value of $18,000 and a loaded pistol.

He was arraigned on charges related to the findings and committed to Schuylkill County Prison, unable to post $250,000 straight cash bail.

In Centre County, troopers along with the Centre County Drug Task Force and State College Police executed a search warrant on Houk’s apartment.

There, troopers said they found three pounds of methamphetamine, worth $54,000, another pistol, an ounce of psilocybin mushrooms, 380 ecstasy pills, and several hundred amphetamine pills and anabolic steroids.

The investigation is ongoing, troopers said.

A preliminary hearing on the local charges has not yet been scheduled.
