PSP: Birdsboro woman fell asleep at the wheel, hit parked cars and rolled SUV
FRACKVILLE – A Birdsboro woman was taken to a Pottsville hospital for minor injuries and will be cited after troopers say she fell asleep at the wheel and rolled her SUV here over the weekend.
State Police at Frackville said the crash happened around 10am Saturday when Sandra Cremi, 80, of Birdsboro, was headed north on South Lehigh Avenue in a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox.
Troopers said Cremi fell asleep at the wheel and sideswiped a parked Volkswagen and struck a Chevrolet Traverse before rolling her SUV.
Cremi’s Equinox came to a rest on its side and she was helped from the vehicle by first responders and taken to a local hospital.
She will face a careless driving citation.
