PSP arrest three on drug, DUI charges in Shenandoah, Heights
SHENANDOAH – Charges are pending against three people after three separate traffic stops in the borough and the Heights this past weekend.
The first traffic stop occurred around 10:30pm on Friday, August 21 at Main and Lloyd Streets.
Troopers stopped a 41-year-old man from the borough in a 2008 Subaru.
The man, whose name was not released, was suspected to be under the influence of a controlled substance and was in possession of methamphetamine, troopers said.
He was taken into custody for DUI and consented to a blood draw.
Charges are pending in Magisterial District Judge Anthony Kilker’s office.
Later, around 1:00am Saturday, August 22 at the same intersection, troopers stopped a 42-year-old Zion Grove man in a 1995 Mercury.
The man, whose name also was not released, was in possession of suspected marijuana, troopers said.
Charges are pending in Kilker’s office.
Finally, around 9:00am Saturday, troopers stopped a 33-year-old Shenandoah man in a 2004 Chevrolet at Florida Avenue and North Wyoming Avenue in Shenandoah Heights.
The man, troopers said, was under the influence of several different controlled substances and had a felony warrant in another county.
He was taken into custody for DUI and consented to a blood draw, before being transported to Schuylkill County Prison for the warrant.
Charges are pending.
