PSP: 6-year-old bicyclist hits Mount Carmel police car

MOUNT CARMEL – A child was injured when state troopers say they were riding a bicycle and ran into the side of a police cruiser Sunday evening.

This happened at Lemon and 2nd Streets in Mount Carmel around 8:40pm, according to State Police at Stonington.

Troopers said a 6-year-old was riding a bicycle on Lemon Street when the rider lost control and hit the side of a Mount Carmel Borough police cruiser traveling along 2nd Street.

The child was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, troopers said.
