PPL: 500+ without power in Girardville, William Penn area, 70 in Ringtown Valley

GIRARDVILLE – Over 500 PPL customers are without power at this hour along the Route 54 corridor from the village of William Penn through the borough of Girardville.
PPL reported via their outage map that 564 customers are without power in the Girardville area.
Their map outlines an affected area stretching from near Bykowsky Automotive in West Mahanoy Township, encompassing Lost Creek, Connerton, most of Girardville, and as far as the Oakland area of Ashland.
No reason is listed for the outage, though power company officials expect a repair by 7:00pm tonight.
Elsewhere, four separate power outages are reported in the Ringtown Valley. In the village of Brandonville, 32 customers are without power, with an expected repair time of 7:00pm tonight.
Between Brandonville and Ringtown borough, 24 customers are out with the same repair time expected. On the west side of Ringtown borough, two are without power with the same repair time, and about two miles west of the borough, 12 are without power.
