NESQUEHONING – Police are investigating what they dubbed a “McNapping” at a Panther Valley fast food chain.
While Nesquehoning Police used tongue-in-cheek language, someone actually stole Ronald McDonald from the McDonald’s off Route 209 Sunday.
“Yesterday, a few unidentified suspects waltzed into McDonald’s and walked out with RONALD McDONALD himself,” Nesquehoning Police said in a statement. “We’re not clowning around. This was a full-blown McNapping.”
“We get it — times are tough, and therapy is expensive,” police quipped in their release. “But kidnapping a plastic icon of joy? That’s a McFelony.”
Police are asking anyone who may see the iconic clown or know who took the statue to call them at 570-669-9111.
They made off in a black Nissan Kicks with temporary plates.
