NORTHERN SCHUYLKILL – The following is a collection of police incidents reported by local law enforcement agencies.
Theft
SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – State troopers are investigating the theft of an SUV in West Mahanoy Township.
State Police at Frackville said the theft happened sometime between 10pm June 17 and 7am June 18, when someone swiped a gray 2020 Jeep Cherokee.
The vehicle was parked on Virginia Avenue outside the victim’s home.

Theft
MAHANOY CITY – State police are investigating a burglary in which two people, believed to be juveniles, broke into a garage on West Centre Street in Mahanoy Township.
Troopers said they were called to a garage on West Centre Street around 3:30pm June 23 for a reported burglary.
There, troopers said two male suspects, believed to be juveniles, arrived via a blue quad and used loose rocks or cinderblocks to break into the garage.
They may have swiped a bag of tools and were startled by the security system and fled on the quad towards Mahanoy City.
House Fire
COAL RUN – Two people were taken to the hospital after a house fire in Northumberland County.
State Police at Stonington said troopers were called to 294 State Route 2026 in the Coal Run section of Coal Township, near Shamokin, on June 23 for a reported house fire.
Two people who lived in the double-block home were taken to a local hospital for smoke inhalation. The were treated and released.
Troopers said the cause and origin of the fire is undetermined and remains under investigation.
Disorderly Conduct
SHENANDOAH HEIGHTS – Two people were cited for disorderly conduct after state troopers said they were playing loud music past midnight, prompting back-to-back noise complaints.
State Police at Frackville said the first call came in around 12:30am June 17 for a report of loud music and yelling coming from a home on Virginia Avenue in Shenandoah Heights.
Responding troopers could hear the music and yelling from outside.
Dirianny Fernandez, 22, and Diana Fernandez Mencia, 40, were told to turn the music down.
An hour and a half later, just before 2am, troopers were called back to the residence and the two women were cited for disorderly conduct – unreasonable noise.
Theft
GILBERTON – State troopers are investigating after a vehicle was swiped from a home in Gilberton earlier this month.
The theft was reported around 3:30am on June 9 at a home on Railroad Street in the borough.
State Police at Frackville said the resident had parked his 2017 GMC Yukon Denali outside the home around midnight with the keys in it.
He woke up a few hours later and the vehicle was gone.
It has a Marine Corps sticker on the left side of the tailgate with Pennsylvania Plate Number LNE-6267.
