NORTHERN SCHUYLKILL – The following is a collection of police incidents reported by local law enforcement agencies.
Scattering Rubbish
CRAIGS – A Wilkes-Barre man was cited for dumping a box and plastic on Route 339 between Mahanoy City and Brandonville, a hotspot for littering and dumping.
Raulin Pichardo Sanchez, 25, of Wilkes-Barre was cited for scattering rubbish, a summary, by State Police at Frackville.
Troopers said he dumped a cardboard box for a refrigerator and plastic along the roadside near Route 339 and Craigs Road in Mahanoy Township on May 26.
Criminal Mischief
COALDALE – A New York City woman had her tires slashed in Coaldale, state troopers said this week.
This happened on East Ridge Street in Coaldale, State Police at Frackville said.
Troopers were called around 11am June 12 for a report that four tires were slashed on a Volkswagen Jetta. The car is owned by a 69-year-old woman from Brooklyn, New York.

Theft
PARK PLACE – State troopers are seeking whoever swiped six fuel filters and operated heavy machinery on mine lands last month.
This was on mine lands off Park Place Road in Mahanoy Township on between 1:40pm May 23 and 6:45am May 27, according to the State Police at Frackville.
Someone operated heavy machinery on the property without permission and swiped six fuel filters worth $55, troopers said.

Theft
WILLIAM PENN – State troopers are seeking whoever stole a knife, firearm, and Social Security card from a truck in West Mahanoy Township.
State Police at Frackville said they were called to a home on Mount Olive Boulevard around 1pm June 14 for a reported theft.
Troopers said someone stole a black folding tactical knife with State Police insignias on it, a Beretta 9mm pistol, and a Social Security card from a pickup truck.

Vehicle Crash
LATTIMER MINES – A Hazle Township woman was cited for running a stop sign in a crash in this village, according to State Police at Hazleton.
The crash happened just before 6am June 10 at Lattimer Road and Scotch Hill.
Troopers said Roselanny Navarro Baez, 31, was heading east on Lattimer Road in a 2007 Honda Accord and allegedly didn’t stop for the stop sign as Kielie Schoch, 18, of Hazle Township, was approaching in a 2014 Mercedes C300, turning left onto Lattimer Road from Scotch Hill.
Baez struck Schoch and both vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Baez had minor injuries, troopers said, and was taken to a local hospital. She was not wearing a seatbelt, troopers said, and she was cited for the crash.
Hit-and-Run
CONYNGHAM – State Police are investigating a crash on the outskirts of this Luzerne County community.
The crash happened just before 1am June 9 at Route 93 and Sugarloaf Avenue in Sugarloaf Township, just outside Conyngham Borough, according to State Police at Hazleton.
Troopers said a 2010 Ford Focus driven by Mohamed Hama Khattar, 50, of Henrico, Virginia, was turning left onto Route 93 from Sugarloaf Avenue.
Another vehicle drove straight across the intersection from the opposite side.
Troopers said Hama Khattar failed to yield while turning left and struck the other car, which then fled the scene.
No injuries were reported and Hama Khattar’s vehicle did not need to be towed.
No description for the fleeing vehicle was provided.
