The incident happened on Dec. 26, according to court paperwork, when police were at Dollar General for a follow-up.

Employees at the store notified police that Hennessy had taken $114.50 worth of merchandise, including baby lotion and toys.

She has two prior retail theft convictions, police said. A third and subsequent retail theft offense is a felony.

Retail Theft, Resisting Arrest

FRACKVILLE – An Ashland man is facing retail theft, resisting arrest, and public drunkenness charges for an incident Saturday at the Family Dollar here.

Daniel Grosser II, 28, of Ashland, was charged by Frackville Police Patrolman Brian Reno Monday.

According to court paperwork, police were called to the Family Dollar around 9:15pm Saturday for a reported disturbance.

Police were told by store staff that Grosser had been causing a disruption in the store. He was found outside the store, appearing “to be under the influence of methamphetamine,” Reno wrote.

Officers tried to speak to Grosser, but he was “making incoherent statements,” Reno wrote, and refused all verbal commands by police.

He also “took up a fighting stance” on multiple occasions and was irritable towards officers.

Police tried to take him into custody, and it took four officers to overcome his resistance.

Store staff told police that Grosser came into the store, grabbed a soda, chugged it, grabbed a second soda, and walked out while drinking it. Outside, he slammed it on the ground.

The two sodas were worth $4.98 and Grosser had a previous retail theft conviction.

Grosser was charged with misdemeanor retail theft, resisting arrest, and summary public drunkenness.

Assault, Harassment

McADOO – A McAdoo woman is facing charges after State Police say she bit her husband’s finger after a scuffle, sparked when he scattered her clothes seeking his wallet and wouldn’t clean them up.

Olga Henriquez Rosario, 35, of McAdoo, was charged by Trooper Caleb Oestrike with simple assault and harassment charges for the incident over the weekend.

Her husband, Jose Ortega, 33, was cited for harassment.

According to the criminal complaint, police were called to their Blaine Street home around 11am Saturday for a reported domestic dispute.

Ortega told police the couple had been arguing about marital infidelity.

The argument took place in Henriquez’ bedroom, and Ortega began searching through her clothes, seeking his wallet.

He found the wallet and Henriquez asked him to put the clothes back that he had strewn about the room.

Ortega told police he didn’t, and Henriquez then bit him in the pinkie finger, causing him to bleed.

Henriquez echoed similar, saying that she told him to stop searching through her belongings because she didn’t have the wallet. She said that she was angered by his failure to clean up the clothes and Ortega then came at her and grabbed both of her arms before shoving her.

She admitted to biting Ortega in the scuffle, which caused him to release her.

Henriquez was charged with simple assault and harassment. She was arraigned and released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for March 27.

Ortega was cited for harassment and has yet to enter a plea, according to online court records.
