NORTHERN SCHUYLKILL – The following is a collection of police incidents reported by local law enforcement agencies in our region.

Simple Assault

SHENANDOAH – A Shenandoah man is facing charges for a domestic violence incident in the borough.

According to Shenandoah Police, officers were called to the 400 block of West New York Street around 11pm March 9 for a domestic violence incident.

A man, 27-year-old Luis Feliciano, is accused of punching his live-in girlfriend and knocking her to the ground.

The woman had bruising on her left cheek and an injury to her right hand.

Feliciano was arraigned and committed to Schuylkill County Prison on simple assault, reckless endangerment, and harassment charges.

Theft

SHENANDOAH – A High Rise resident is facing charges, accused of swiping another resident’s belongings.

Borough Police said the incident happened on March 7 at the Shenandoah High Rise at 100 South Main Street.

A woman placed a bag in the vestibule area and walked outside. When she returned, it was gone.

The bag had $68 worth of merchandise in it.

Police filed theft and receiving stolen property charges against Edwin Martinez-Rodriguez, 56, who returned the bag when confronted.

Threats

WEATHERLY – Police are investigating after a threat of violence was made towards a magistrate and law enforcement in Carbon County.

Weatherly Police said this happened Tuesday. Police provided additional security for the magistrate while the investigation was underway.

State Police at Fern Ridge and the Carbon County District Attorney’s Office identified a suspect and charges are pending.
