Police incident closes West Main Street in Ringtown

RINGTOWN – A heavy State Police presence led to the closure of West Main Street in Ringtown Sunday evening.
Troopers have been in the 500 block of West Main since at least 7:30pm, and the road was closed from Creekside Restaurant to Shenandoah Road.
Confirmed details as to what happened are few as of 10:30pm.
Troopers appeared to be focused on a home at 527 West Main, and the entire area around that home was surrounded by crime scene tape.
A State Police Forensic Services Unit was called to the scene.
Also in the evening, an air medical helicopter was called to land in Ringtown.
We have reached out to State Police Troop L Public Information Officer Ethan Brownback and are awaiting a response.
