FRACKVILLE – A Frackville man is facing charges after police say he fired shots at a van on the south end of the borough’s downtown area yesterday.

Frackville Police Chief Rick Bell said officers were called to the 300 block of South Penn Street around 4:15pm for reports of shots fired.

He said a van was shot at in the incident, and was found in the 200 block of South Lehigh with a bullet entry and exit hole.

“That’s where the victim stopped their vehicle and called 911,” Bell said.

Stalin Columna, 28, of the 300 block of South Lehigh, was identified as the suspect and taken into custody without incident, Bell said.

Through an investigation, an AR-15 rifle and two spent shell casings were located in the 300 block of South Penn.

No one was struck in the shooting, Bell said.

Columna is facing one count of Criminal Attempted Homicide, two counts of Aggravated Assault, four counts of Reckless Endangerment, and one count of Propulsion of a Missile into an Occupied Vehicle.

He was arraigned last night by Magisterial District Judge David Plachko at the Schuylkill County Prison, and bail was set at $250,000 straight cash.
