Police chase ends in Turkey Run

TURKEY RUN – A police pursuit came to a halt outside a car dealer in this village only a few yards from the Shenandoah borough line Monday afternoon.
Police officers from several different agencies, including the State Police at Hazleton and Frackville, Shenandoah borough, East Union Township, among others surrounded a damaged black Pontiac Grand Prix at Vito Rinaldi Chrysler just before 7:00pm today.
Officers at the scene had few details to share, beyond saying a media release would be issued by State Police at Hazleton. As of 11:00pm, no media release had been issued.
The Gold Star Highway was reduced to two lanes as officers investigated.
Witnesses said the pursuit was seen in the village of Brandonville, travelling along PA Route 924 through Shenandoah, ending outside the car dealership in the village of Turkey Run.
One man was taken away in handcuffs and transported by state troopers, and a dog was removed from the Pontiac.
