PLCB returns $17.5k in licensing fees to area municipalities

HARRISBURG – The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board returned $2.1 Million in licensing fees statewide, including $17,500 in the Sentinel area.
Shenandoah received $1,650 and Mahanoy City received $1,400.
Twice a year, the PLCB returns liquor license fees to municipalities where licensees are located.
Licenses include restaurants, clubs, hotels, and social organizations and fees can range from $25 to $700 based on the type of license and the municipality’s population.
Over the last five years, the PLCB has returned nearly $17.5 Million to local municipalities.
Municipalities and the license fees returned are below:
- Ashland: $800
- Butler Township: $600
- East Union Township: $400
- Frackville: $600
- Girardville: $200
- Mahanoy City: $1,400
- Ryan Township: $600
- Shenandoah: $1,650
- Union Township :$200
- West Mahanoy Township: $200
- East Cameron Township: $50
- Kulpmont: $650
- Marion Heights: $200
- Mount Carmel Boro: $800
- Mount Carmel Township: $150
- Beaver Township: $150
