Pine Grove man killed in crash
PINE GROVE – A Pine Grove man was killed in a crash late last week, State Police at Schuylkill Haven said Monday.
The crash happened around 6am Thursday on Bethel Road near Stanhope Road in Pine Grove Township, Route 501 south of the borough.
Bently Luckenbill, 22, of Pine Grove, was headed south in a 2003 Volkswagen Jetta when he left the highway and struck a tree.
The vehicle came to a rest in the brush.
He was not wearing a seatbelt, troopers said.
Luckenbill was pronounced dead at the scene and Bethel Road was closed for about 2 1/2 hours.
