SHENANDOAH – A split-second call reversal gave Upper Dauphin/Millersburg the momentum it needed to run away from Shenandoah in Tuesday’s Little League 10-12 All-Star matchup.

Shenandoah entered the game 0-3 with Pool 4 already sewn up, with Upper Dauphin standing second with a 2-1 record and SPN leading with a 3-1 record.

The two teams engaged in a dogfight early on, with Shenandoah holding a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the third.

The fourth inning was the turning point for Upper Dauphin.

Two runs brought the score even at 3 apiece, and a UDC runner slid into home, tagged out by Shenandoah’s Sonny Amato, as called by the umpire. As quickly as the umpire called the UDC runner out, he reversed course and called them safe, giving UDC a 4-1 advantage from which they’d never look back.
