PHOTOS: Devils fall to Miners 2-0 in DII title game

SHENANDOAH – With the Schuylkill League Division II title on the line, Shenandoah Valley hosted Minersville Area at Veterans Memorial Stadium.
The Devils, previously unblemished at home in division play, hoped to keep it that way and earn back-to-back division titles.
The Miners, backed by a vocal cadre of fans who created an atmosphere fit for their own Veterans Memorial Stadium, had other plans.
Minersville took a 1-0 lead into the halftime break and scored an early goal in the second half.
A stout defensive performance kept the Miners ahead, earning the Division II title.
