ASHLAND – Ashland’s 9-11 Little League All-Stars made quick work of the Saint Clair-Port Carbon-New Philadelphia squad at home Tuesday.
The two squads faced each other as part of the round robin portion of the District 24 Little League tournament’s 9-11 division.
Ashland opened up scoring early and often, taking a 5-0 lead into the bottom of the 2nd.

SPN answered, scoring three, though not enough to keep Ashland from triggering the mercy rule in the 4th inning, winning 16-3.
Ashland is in action again at home this Thursday, hosting Upper Dauphin-Millersburg.
