Phone swiped from car downtown at midday

SHENANDOAH – A Frackville man is without his Samsung smartphone after someone swiped it from his car outside BB&T at midday yesterday.

State Police at Frackville said the man had parked his car in the side lot of BB&T around 12:05pm while he used the bank’s ATM.

When he finished at the ATM, he came back to his car to spot a hispanic male walking away from the car, with the driver’s door hanging open.

The victim attempted to confront the alleged thief, who “said something in a foreign language,” troopers said, before ignoring the victim and walking away, north on Main Street.

The victim then checked the vehicle, and found that his Samsung Galaxy S9 was missing.
