PennDOT plans paving project on Route 54 in town

SHENANDOAH – Route 54 through town will be resurfaced next month.

Borough Manager Tony Sajone said PennDOT will pave the highway, Centre Street, from the area of the school district campus to Souchuck’s Lumber.

That work will be done the week of July 11, he said.

He told the Sentinel over the phone Thursday that the paving will involve the travel lanes and will not be curb-to-curb.

A PennDOT spokesperson confirmed Thursday paving is planned on Route 54 in town, but provided no further details.
