WILLIAM PENN – PennDOT is planning to replace a bridge in the William Penn area and they’re seeking public input.
Plans have been drawn up to replace the Raven Run Road bridge over the Shenandoah Creek, near to Vic Marconi Field and are on public display for comments through May 10.
Construction is expected to start in Spring 2027 and the steel bridge would be replaced with a reinforced concrete box culvert.
The bridge would be reduced to one lane during the project as crews would demolish and rebuild one half of the bridge at a time.
Individuals or groups with a demonstrated interest within the project limits, surrounding businesses, and local property owners that may be affected by the proposed project are encouraged to review the displays and contact PennDOT with any questions.
The plans can be found here, along with a contact form to submit any comments or concerns.
