One transported from Vulcan rollover

KAYLEE LINDENMUTH / SHENANDOAH SENTINEL - The scene of Thursday's crash on Route 54 near Vulcan.
VULCAN – One person was taken to a local hospital after a rollover crash near this Mahanoy Township village Thursday afternoon.
The crash happened around 5:45pm on Vulcan Hill Road, Route 54, near the Interstate 81 interchange.
Mahanoy Township Police Chief Brandon Alexander said a Chevy Equinox and a Seitz Brothers-marked Toyota Tacoma were headed west towards Mahanoy City.

Alexander said the Equinox, in the right lane, attempted to make the turn onto the Morea Road, clipping the rear of the passing Tacoma and sending it into a spin and roll.
The two occupants of the Equinox were uninjured, though the driver of the Tacoma was taken to a local hospital by Mahanoy City Ambulance.

Also responding to the scene was Mahanoy City’s West End Fire Company and Mahanoy City Police.
The two vehicles were towed from the scene by Steve’s Towing, Shenandoah.
