HOMETOWN – A three car collision in Hometown around 6:30pm today left one car disabled Friday evening.
State Police say a chain reaction crash occurred as a vehicle attempted to turn off of PA-54 (Mahanoy Avenue) onto Miller Street in the village.
The vehicle, which was not involved in the collision, came to a stop to allow oncoming traffic to clear before turning.
A Pontiac and a Subaru came to a stop behind the turning vehicle.
A Honda Civic came upon the stopped vehicles and collided with the Subaru, pushing it into the Pontiac.
The Civic, driven by a 17-year-old male from Kulpmont, Northumberland County, had to be towed from the scene.
All occupants of all involved vehicles were seatbelted at the time of the accident, and no one was injured.
Assisting State Police at the scene were units from the Hometown Fire Company.
