One stabbed, Philadelphia man facing attempted homicide charges in Carbon
BEAVER MEADOWS – A 41-year-old man was stabbed and a 24-year-old man is facing attempted homicide charges after a stabbing in Banks Township near here Monday night.
Nyshere Dobson, 24, of Philadelphia, is facing attempted homicide, felony aggravated assault, and misdemeanor simple assault charges.
State Police at Hazleton said they were called to a home on Berwick Street in Banks Township, just outside Beaver Meadows, for a reported stabbing.
Troopers found the victim, Scott Kevan, 41, with arterial bleeding and placed a tourniquet on his leg before he was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Hazleton.
From there, he was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest in Salisbury Township, Lehigh County.
Troopers said Dobson entered the home and stabbed Kevan in the leg.
He was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Casimir Kosciolek and committed to the Carbon County Jail, as bail was denied.
