One killed in rural Ringtown Valley crash

UNION TOWNSHIP – One person was killed in a violent wreck in rural Union Township midday Monday.
The crash happened just before 1pm near 144 Hill Field Road in the township near the Columbia County line.
Firefighters from Ringtown Valley and Aristes were called for a vehicle accident with entrapment.
A Shenandoah ambulance arrived to find a victim who was later pronounced dead at the scene by the Schuylkill County Coroner’s Office.
First responders were at the scene for about two hours and police are investigating.
