SHENANDOAH – One vehicle had to be towed from a crash which closed a portion of West Centre Street for at least half an hour Tuesday evening.
Just after 6:00pm, the Shenandoah Fire Department, which moments prior was cleared from a reported house fire in Ringtown, was dispatched to West Centre and West Streets in the borough for a vehicle accident.
Firefighters from Shenandoah’s Columbia, Polish American, and Rescue Hook & Ladder fire companies responded to the scene, arriving to find a multi-vehicle crash.

According to Shenandoah Police, the crash occurred while three vehicles were stopped at the West Street traffic light facing eastbound. The third vehicle in line, a black Nissan, struck the second vehicle in line, a gold Chevy Trailblazer, as well as a parked Chrysler PT Cruiser.
The Trailblazer was driven away from the scene with a busted right taillight and cosmetic damage, and the Nissan was towed away by Steve’s Towing, Shenandoah.
No injuries were reported.
Assisting at the scene was Shenandoah Ambulance.
