No injuries in Vulcan crash
MAHANOY TWP. – No one was injured when a truck and SUV collided outside Mahanoy City late last week.
The crash happened around 6:00am in the area of Route 54, commonly referred to as the Vulcan, and Morea Road.
According to State Police at Frackville, a 2012 Mack truck, driven by Michael P. Nagy, 41, of Elverson, Chester County, was making a left-hand turn when it was struck by a 2015 Ford Escape, driven by Susan Loftus, 61, of Mahanoy City, from behind.
Both Nagy and Loftus escaped injury, and the latter’s Ford Escape was towed from the scene by ACT Towing.
Mahanoy City Fire assisted state police at the scene.
